Founder Emily Nuckols makes every bag by hand in Atlanta, from leather, cowhide and repurposed textiles.

Founder Emily Nuckols

It started with a work bag

Emily was tired of the bland bag her company issued to employees, so she made her own from a locally sourced cowhide. The first time she stepped into the office elevator with it, coworkers showered her with compliments and asked how they could get one just like it.

That spark of creativity became Emily Yellow.

You are not alone on your journey. Carry the magic with you.

The possibility bag

The collection began in 2014, inspired by the traditional Native American “possibles bag,” used to carry supplies, medicines and objects of power for healing. Today each bag pairs leather hides with repurposed textiles and industrial materials, so no two are ever alike.

California cool, Southern charm

Emily studied design in Santa Barbara before making Georgia home, where she refined her craft and became part of Atlanta’s maker community. You’ll find her at local markets and pop-ups, happy to talk bags, fabric and the stories behind them.
